Dear Yuletide Author 2017

Note: Still not done, but substantially more content that it had before, so progress! Sorry ;-;

Aw man, another year of Yuletide. Sounds weird when it's only been my second time doing it, but anyway XD First off, since my DW/LJ account is severely lacking for stalking purposes, here's my AO3, my Tumblr, and my AniList.

Now I'm gonna shamelessly copy my last year's DNWs and likes/dislikes and only tweaking them a bit

Do Not Wants

Next would be my DNWs. There's a bunch listed on the post I linked above, but you don't have to follow that one. I'll just be listing here the most relevant ones:

• Major Character Death - That's the one archive warning in my DNW. I'm fine with the others as long as it fits the tone of the fandom I've requested. I guess Rape/Non-con is also out this time since all of my requested only kinda fit the bill, but if you're confident in pulling it off then I've got no problem with it.
• Character Bashing - Pretty self-explanatory.
• 1st/2nd person POV - I have a weird aversion for them when it comes to fanfics. 1st person I'm pretty okay with in epistolary-style fics, or if the POV is an OC, but yeah, not really interested in it in general.
• Genderswaps - I'm a gay-as-fuck dude who loves to read about dudes who are also into dudes, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't mind if an M/M pairing gets swapped to F/F (or vice-versa, but I don't think I've ever actually seen that particular one happen before), but turning it to F/M almost always rubs me the wrong way. Genderswapping F/M to M/M or F/F too, now that I think about it. So yeah, unless there's like reincarnation and multiple lives or something involved, and it ends in M/M or F/F, then genderswaps doesn't really interest me.
• Infidelity, Cheating - Pretty self-explanatory, so please don't.
• Het Incest - I'm perfectly fine reading incest, just not het incest. That also goes for characters who are not related at all but have a sibling- or parent-like relationship in canon.
• A/B/O Dynamics - I don't mind them in PWPs, but I really don't care for it otherwise.
• Eye Gore - Yeah, these freaks me out. If the eyeballs are detached from the person, go ahead, do your worst. But if it's still attached and somebody does anything to it (scooping them out, puncturing them, putting on contacts...) that's an instant nope for me.
• PWPs, Porn with a sidedish of Plot - Basically, I'm fine with the most explicit stuff as long as it doesn't overwhelm the plot and become the plot in and of itself.

Things I Like

Okay, so if I hadn't listed it as a DNW, chances are I'd probably love it. But here's some of stuff I am really into:

• Canon-compliant or Canon-divergent fics - Fics that can make me feel it actually happened in canon, or fics that ask "what if this instead of that happened in canon?" and then run with it are my favorites.
• AUs - With that said, I also love AUs as long as the characters are recognizably them. Any kind of fantasy or sci-fi AU I am down. Mundane/Modern Setting/No Powers AUs also, if the fandom isn't already set there (like Gatchaman or IBO).
• Pining - Mutal pining. Oblivious mutal pining. All the pining.
• Humor - Whether it's crack or black humor in darkfics, go for it!
• Angst with Happy Endings - I love suffering. Especially when inflicted to my faves. But I also want them happy in the end, so yeah.

Okay, now onto my requested fandoms!

Touken Ranbu

For the Game:

Gen would mostly be preferable since I don't really romantically ship Mutsu with any of the other swords, but I do have a soft spot for Mutsu/Male Saniwa or everybody having a sorta unrequited crush for Mutsu (because he deserves all the love) if you're more slash-inclined.

For prompts, I would honestly just be happy with Mutsu interacting with any swords tbh, be it angsty or fluffy or both, since he's one of the few swords that's not really in any group like the Awataguchi swords or the Shinsengumi swords and the like.

An exploration of his love for technology and generally 'new' things would also be very welcome.

Optional detail that I would appreciate but isn't required would be Mutsu being the starter sword of the saniwa, since he was my starter too lol.

For the Katsugeki anime:

Gen or Slash---for once I don't actually have a preference, because Mutsu/Ryouma is great either way.

But yyeesss. Give me more Mutsu/Ryouma interaction. Maybe the saniwa keeps sending the 2nd unit to Ryouma-centric events and while Mutsu tries and tries to distance himself away, him and Ryouma just keep meeting lol. Ryouma then ending up recognizing Mutsu every time he saves him.

Or maybe canon-divergence where Mutsu and Ryouma did elope run away into the sunset and cruise around the world. Tbh I can't ever see Mutsu doing it, but if you think you can make it convincing, go for it!

Okay, I'm lumping both of my Touken Ranbu requests into one, since it's all about Mutsu.

I'll start this off with a DNW: Cullen/Aiden ending up romantically together. I enjoyed their friendship, but I am also still bitter about Aiden axing Cullen lol.

For prompts, hmm. I'd be down with Cullen and Aiden slowly and painfully repairing their friendship (see above point about the axing part ahahaha). Throw in some stuff with Cullen dealing with Murderworld trauma and getting used by Zemo and Daimon and co.

I'd also enjoy some Bloodstones sibling bonding if you're inclined, especially if it's the monster-ass-kicking kind of bonding. Alternative would be Cammi, I liked Cullen and Cammi's budding friendship during Murderworld too.

For shippier stuff I'd be down with Cullen meeting some cute guy and finally getting over Aiden. Cute guy can be an OMC, or if you would like to indulge my inner crackshipping self, Young Bobby Drake XD

Ah, Cullen. I adore this gun-toting, grumpy gay possessed by an eldritch abomination, and how I wish for you to get out of comics limbo. Probably won't happen, but at least I can beg for fics in the mean time on Yuletide lol

Cullen is pretty much the only reason I read Avengers Arena/Undercover since I didn't really know the Runaways and Avengers Academy kids that well.

Gen or Slash, I'd be down with either, with a slight preference to the latter. I ship both Ye Xiu/Su Muqiu and Ye Xiu/Ye Qiu (if you're okay enough writing twincest that is), and if you can make Ye Xiu/Ye Qiu/Su Muqiu work I'd be down with that too!
