adustyspectacleSo hey. I always feel bad when I neglect a journal-slash-blog thing, but most of what I'm feeling right now is just eh. It's not that I want to neglect this, it's just I don't have anything to say. I've finally stopped (mostly) trawling through AO3's Destiel archive. It only took watching season 8, 9, and 10 of SPN and writing a few fics to make me stop, so that's nice.
Anyway, about those fics I've been writing. There's 3 of them and I haven't finished one, but I'm gonna go add snippets of what I've written so far so this blog thing isn't so empty.

It was originally just going to be 2 chapters long, A Cas POV and a Dean POV, but God intervened and now it's 7 chapters long with Kevin, Charlie, and Sam getting POVs and Cas and Dean having two each. I think the reason for the sudden inflation is because of the chapter titles I thought up. I'm a sucker for nifty titles.
Here's a snippet from the first chapter:
"It's okay, Dean," Castiel says, and gives him a small smile.
"What do you mean it's fucking okay?! You stupid son of a bitch, you know you're human now and you know they fucking want you dead!" Dean's voice sounds like he's trying to restrain himself from shouting but is failing to do so.
"The angel would have killed Sam," Castiel replies.
"That doesn't mean you have to die, goddamnit!"
Castiel reaches out his hand, wanting to touch Dean in the face, comfort him. Instead his hand rested on the hunter's shoulder. "I told you it's okay. Sam is more important than me. He will always be more important than me. He's your brother."
Dean doesn't say anything, just closes his eyes. "You're family too, Cas, you know that, right?" His voice was quiet, a whisper.
"Would you rather have your brother die then?" When Dean does not say anything, Castiel smiles. "I told you, it's okay. Please don't blame yourself. I'm sad I won't be around any more to protect you, but.. at least I'll die knowing I did one thing right.. well, two things.."

Which was why, a week after, Dean Winchester was definitely not jealous like a girl, damn it when he visited Cas at the Gas-n-Sip where he works at and saw a guy flirting with him.
A guy.
Flirting with Cas.
And Cas was grinning in that doped-up, adorable—
The guy then kissed him right in the lips. Dean's vision sort of blanked out after that for a moment, which was fortunate, because if he had seen Cas kissing the guy back he didn't know what he would have done to the guy who just tried to fucking kiss his best friend-slash-former angel.
When his vision came back, the guy was already opening the store's door, facing him and smiling, like he just fucking won the lottery or just experienced the best sex he ever fucking had moments before and is now basking in that glorious moment that is post-coital cuddling.
"Morning!" the guy said. The fucking nerve of this bastard. Dean barely managed to restrain his rage and gave an unintelligible grunt. The guy didn't seem to notice and took off, strutting and— was he fucking skipping like a damn girl?
I've got so many scene ideas for this one it's not even funny. It's mostly Crack and Fluff, and a dash of Angst. Frankly, I don't have any what kind of plot this would take. Probably going to be episodic or something.

"I.. I can heal you," Cas started. Sam was about to say that the angel said he can't heal him when the Trials started, but Cas cut him off. "I know I said that I can't, but that was.." Cas started playing with his tie, which just rang more alarms in Sam's head. "..that was healing from the outside.."
Sam gulped. "From the outside?" He doesn't like the sound where this is going.
"Yes. Healing from the inside is more effective, where an angel's Grace and the vessel's body are closer—"
"You mean you're gonna possess me?!" Whoops. Sam didn't intend to shout, and he mentally reprimanded himself as Cas flinched.
"I know the thought must be uncomfortable. You were already possessed many times before, but this is the only solution that presents itself for now. We do not have to do it if you do not want to, of course." Sam sensed the unsaid but at the end.
He didn't say anything, and Cas didn't too. He just stood there while Sam paced around and thought about the situation. Thinking about it, it wouldn't be that bad, unlike his previous experiences with being possessed. First off, Cas wasn't a demon, and while being ridden by an angel wasn't any better(he may still have nightmares about Lucifer), Cas was a friend, practically family. Sam knew the angel wouldn't do anything to him, especially not with Dean supervising.
Still, being possessed, even by a friend-slash-practically-family is an unsettling thought.
Did I mention the Father of Murder and the Rebel Angel geeking out over bees?

02 - Jealous Dean
Exactly what it says on the tin. Set during Cas's 'Steve' days at the Gas 'n' Sip. Basically, a week or so after the Ephraim case, Cas got himself a boyfriend. Or uh, well, a friend that he sometimes dates and fucks and have meaningful conversations with. They just met for like a week, lol. Anyway, Dean visits and sees and gets real jealous. I dunno yet how I can get Dean and Cas here together, because for some reason I'm hesitant to be mean to that OC boyfriend, ahaha. Maybe he knows Cas is super in love with someone or something and they're just having fun while it lasts? I don't know.Anyway, snippet for this oneshot:

And lastly.. this. I was thinking of Ezekiel/Gadreel and wondered, what if it was Cas instead. The image of Cas doing his adorable Cas things in Sam's body and Dean being super super horrified and having a panic attack because he's getting aroused and having boners and developing feelings just won't let go...I've got so many scene ideas for this one it's not even funny. Then there's this one where Cain and Cas geek out over bees. Yeah. It looks awesome in my head. So kinda like an alternate 09x11 where Cas tags along to find the First Blade, and after the bee geekfest, Cain gives Dean the Mark of Cain on the condition that Cas be the Colette to Dean's Cain.Did I mention the Father of Murder and the Rebel Angel geeking out over bees?
